Welcome
Hurt feelings don't vanish on their own. They don't heal themselves. If we don't express our emotions, they pile up like a debt that will eventually come due.

Hello!
My name is Nanny Gomiero
I am a trauma-informed Counsellor with an evidence-based approach, with a primary focus on cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). My practice emphasizes a strength-based approach, which incorporates elements of self-reflection, compassion, and trust.
With a Psychology degree from Brazil and a Master of Counselling from the University of Canberra, I bring a solid academic foundation to my work. My professional experience spans working with diverse populations, including young people, couples, and addressing women's health concerns.
As an immigrant woman myself, I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals from various cultural backgrounds, addressing immigration-related trauma, and navigating the challenges of acculturation.
Currently, I am registered with ACA at level 4, reflecting my commitment to maintaining high professional standards and ongoing professional development.

Why is therapy important?
Get to Know Us
Therapy offers a nurturing environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a safe and confidential setting. Individual therapy is designed to facilitate personal growth and enhance your overall well-being through introspection and self-awareness. It provides an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and to challenge and modify any ingrained beliefs or patterns that may be holding you back.
In therapy, you have the freedom to express yourself without judgment and to set the pace of your own journey. You can discuss whatever is on your mind and take the time you need to explore your concerns fully. You may be pleasantly surprised by the range of therapeutic techniques and strategies available to help you achieve your goals.
Trying therapy is a personal choice, and you have the autonomy to decide whether it's the right fit for you. It's about honouring your unique experiences and needs while embarking on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
